Challenges of e-tourism

Challenges of e-tourism in the coastal cities of northern Iran
In the process of realizing e-tourism and taking advantage of its benefits, there are fundamental challenges that need to be addressed and relevant planning made to address them. These are the key challenges:
? Lack of Computer Hardware and Software: In line with the development of e-tourism in urban and rural areas and due to the social, economic and cultural conditions of Iran, it is easily accepted that the lack of infrastructure for e-tourism infrastructure (hardware and software) It is one of the most important challenges facing development and the stages of its development.
? Lack of information literacy among tourists and people in the coastal cities of northern Iran: It is clear that in the presence of electronic infrastructure (telecommunication networks and communication channels), users and tourists need to be able to use them and therefore need information literacy. And the ability of tourists to use computers and the Internet comes to mind.

? Lack of electronic infrastructure in the north coastal cities of Iran: However, except for the above mentioned, the lack of telecommunication channels, transmission channels and telecommunication lines and tourism infrastructure in the telecommunication and communication network of Iran can be mentioned without their provision or provision. Expanding the telecommunications and electronic networks, one cannot expect the process of e-tourism development to grow to a satisfactory level.
? Internet access and the digital divide: By the end of 2010, between 800 and 100 million people worldwide had access to the Internet, nearly 50% of whom lived in the United States and Canada, while The share of the Middle East and Africa is underestimated.
? Security and privacy of internet portals affiliated with tourism industry in Iran: One of the major concerns regarding internet and cyberspace is the protection and security of individuals (tourists, users and tours and tourist service sites). Which solutions should be selected and implemented for them.
? Education in e-tourism development: In e-tourism development, education is examined from two basic dimensions: first, public information and preparing people and citizens for the use of e-city or virtual tourism services, and second, training and human resources provision. Required for the creation, development and administration of e-tourism.
? Cultural and Social Challenges The main challenge of the spread of information technology, especially in the coastal cities of northern Iran, is the creation of cultural problems and social challenges. The widespread influx of diverse cultures and the availability of public access to extensive information on the various ports on the Internet have created some anomalies in the cultural and social relations of the people in these areas. Development of electronic tourism
Information technology has evolved in recent years in the tourism industry and has invented a new concept of e-tourism. In other words, electronic tourism is a turning point between tourism and information technology. In 2010, in the US, 40 percent of people in the US use the Internet for travel information, and 70 percent of them have purchased travel services electronically. (Cardoso, 2007: 56) Electronic tourism is a type of activity based on new technologies along traditional structures and methods.
Despite the particular advantages and disadvantages of e-tourism compared to traditional tourism, with the exception of some developed countries, many countries are still unaffected by the world and with only poor or inappropriate use of ICT, Having basic websites to illustrate their tourist attractions, selling electronic tickets and services is enough, and Iran is no exception. Although it is one of the top 5 countries in the world due to climate and biodiversity and is historically and culturally among the top 10 countries in the world (Chatterjee et al, 2009: 92), however, statistics from the World Tourism Organization in 2010 indicate this. Iran's share of foreign tourists' incomes in 2009 was less than $ 1.5 billion, while the amount of capital withdrawn from sending tourists to Iran alone was more than $ 6 billion that year alone.
